How Do I Make An Appointment at SOCAH Center?

You may request an appointment on our website or call our office to schedule an appointment!

After you have scheduled an appointment on the SOCAH Center website, you will receive an email from our medical record software called Patient Fusion prompting you to fill out your patient intake forms through a secure server.

This will allow us to ensure your appointment starts promptly and will allow more time to focus on answering your questions and finding a treatment that is right for you.

Do I Need A Referral To See Dr. Hill?

In the state of Georgia you do not need a referral to see a dermatologist and therefore you do not need a referral for Dr. Hill’s dermatology services.

Do You Accept Same Day Appointments?

We try our best to accommodate our patients by having same-day appointments available, especially for urgent matters. You can make an appointment by phone, online, or in person. If for any reason we are not able to see you same-day, we will schedule an appointment for you within the next 24 hours given time permitted. If you are in a membership plan we will do everything possible for you to be evaluated same-day whether through teledermatology services or after-hours.

Does Dr. Hill Take My Insurance?

We currently accept and bill insurance for our services with a selection of insurance networks. However, we do offer discounted self-pay prices for those without insurance or opting not to use it so that we can provide personalized care with extended visit times, virtual office visits, counseling on healthy lifestyle choices and more. For all insurances, we are happy to provide the paperwork to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement purposes. Reimbursements are specific to your plan with your insurance carrier. Additionally, your insurance may cover concierge or membership model preventive care. We are happy to be of assistance as needed during this process. Will My Insurance Cover Any Of My Office Visits, Surgeries, Or Procedures?

Depending on your agreement with your insurance company our services should cover to a partial if not all of your visits, surgeries, and procedures that are not cosmetic. At the end of the visit, you will be able to assess your superbill in your secure patient portal with specific medical codes. Your superbill along with the appropriate insurance claim form can be submitted to your insurance company who will then send reimbursements to your address.

Can I Use My Federal Or Healthcare Savings Account (FSA & HSA)?

Depending on your account requirements, your medical fees may be covered as your visit and services are being performed in a medical office. Dr. Hill recommends that you speak with your organization’s administrator regarding covered services.

What Services Does Dr. Hill Provide?

Dr. Hill provides general medical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatology services. Dr. Hill is also a Hair Loss and Hair Restoration Specialist.

Preparing For A Hair Loss Consultation

Dr. Hill understands that every detail in the history and exam is crucial when assessing for hair loss. Please do not wash hair for 48 hours prior to your initial visit. Additionally, please remove any sew-ins, lace-fronts, braids, extensions, and other “glued-in, braided-in, sewed-in, or semi-permanent” styles so Dr. Hill can thoroughly assess the scalp. Lastly, please do not apply any camouflage products the day of the exam (48 hours if possible) as this may affect visualization of the scalp.

Preparing For A Full Body Skin Exam or Skin Care Exam

Please arrive with no makeup on or be prepared to remove the make-up so Dr. Hill can thoroughly evaluate your skin including your face.

Preparing For A Nail Exam

Please keep nails free from nail polish for 2 days prior to the appointment so no staining is visible and nails can be assessed for texture, appearance, and color.

I Have Had Treatments In The Past. Will Dr. Hill Need Those Records?

Dr. Hill wants to ensure she is not repeating any treatments you may have used in the past. Obtaining records from your previous physicians is helpful.

I Am A Stylist/Barber With Clients With Noticeable Hair & Scalp Conditions. Can I Refer Them To You?

Yes! Dr. Hill works closely with stylists, barbers, cosmetology and barber schools and other venues to spread the knowledge of inflammatory scalp disorders and the importance of early intervention. Dr. Hill is always available to speak to salons and barbershops and discuss how they can be the frontline of defense to educate patients. Lastly, Dr. Hill continues to develop relationships with hair professionals who take a great interest in practicing camouflaging and hair care for patients with hair loss conditions.
