Dr. Nikki D. Hill, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist, hair transplant surgeon who is nationally recognized for her diagnosis and management of medical hair loss conditions. She opened her practice, the Skin of Culture and Hair Center (SOCAH Center) in Atlanta, GA, to focus on the needs of hair loss patients, accurately diagnose them, and educate each individual about their condition and the best-suited treatment options. Dr. Hill has presented research at national and international conferences and continues to be a contributor to her peer-reviewed journals. She created SOCAH Stylists to bridge the gap between Cosmetology and Dermatology and help create a holistic approach to scalp and hair health as well as a platform for furthering your education as a hair loss specialist.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed Cosmetologist, Barber, or Trichologist
  • 3 – 5 hour course
  • Learning Material provided

  • Learn the early signs (red flags) of diagnosing hair loss
  • Breaking Hair Myths Q&A session
  • Testing client hair porosity
  • Testing pH of products and how it relates to hair
  • Choosing the right products for your client’s concerns
  • What is safe to use on breastfeeding and pregnant clients
  • How to use your trichology scope and how to interpret the results
  • Low-level laser light therapy setup and referral program
PLEASE NOTE THE SOCAH STYLIST COURSES DO NOT CERTIFY YOU AS A TRICHOLOGIST. (Trichologist training programs are typically 10 to 15 months long).
